Adilei at Europalia
We’re traveling to Belgium for three concerts at the Europalia-Georgia festival!
This year, Georgia will make its debut as a guest country at EUROPALIA, the international cultural festival held in Belgium and its neighboring countries. The festival will showcase the rich and diverse culture and art of Georgia, from its traditional polyphonic singing and folk dancing to its contemporary visual art and theater.
On November 1st and 2nd, around All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day in Belgium, Europalia brings the manner of mourning into dialogue with Georgian funerary traditions. Together with the audience, soprano Lore Binon, singer Nino Nakeuri, the Mezoblebi Ensemble, a local amateur choir, we will take part in a unique ritual in which mourning and singing merge.
On November 3rd, we will perform Georgian traditional polyphony at the exhibition space of Georgian avant-garde in Brussels, at the Centre for Fine Arts, Bozar.
