Adilei Singing Tour 2024

Announcing our 2024 Folk Singing Tours!
Two Potential Tour Dates (subject to change; exact dates will be confirmed shortly):

Option 1: August 27th – September 7th
Option 2: September 30th – October 11th

To make each of these tours happen, we will need a minimum of 5 participants. The maximum capacity is 16 people.

This time we decided to visit Avto Turkia’s family in Lanchkhuti (Guria) and the Chamgeliani family in Lakhushdi – The Singing Village in upper Svaneti.
As always, our goal is for you to have as organic an experience as possible when learning our traditional music, so apart from daily workshops and various sightseeing visits, we want to put these songs in context – share our singing lifestyle with you.
Not only will you get to learn from us, and our teachers in the villages in Western Georgia, but you will also get to explore the amazing nature of Georgia, swim in beautiful mountain streams, all while singing a wide repertoire of regional songs.

Your Adventure Includes:

Living with singing families
Trying delicious local cuisine (even learning a recipe or two!)
Participating in the recently UNESCO’ed tradition of supra
Singing lessons and lectures amidst stunning mountain scenery
Hiking opportunities for the adventurous spirits
Swimming in beautiful mountain streams

Your teachers, alongside the members of Adilei, will feature the Chamgeliani family from the remarkable Singing Village (Svaneti) and Avto Turkia, an exceptional young Gurian singer and choir leader in Lanchkhuti (Guria).

The Price:
$1800 per person (includes all meals, transportation within Georgia, and lessons)
Early Bird Discount:
Book before May 30th, 2024 and save $100! (A $200 confirmation deposit is required)

We warmly encourage those of you who lead choirs, ensembles, or community singing events to help spread the word. While prior knowledge of Georgian music is not a requirement, singing experience is a plus. A passion for music and a love of exploration are all you need!
